You may have seen this TV on our most recent ad campaign for ‘Seamless entertainment’. We are now really excited to see that people are loving this new 42″ single layer* (no plastic frame) LED TV and some of the press have given it rave reviews.
Home Cinema Magazine has rated it as one of their favourite 40-42″ LED screens and write:
“Although it’s frameless chassis is undeniably alluring, it’s the specification list that will have prospective buyers chomping at the bit to get hold of this one.”
Rik Henderson of Home Cinema Magazine rated it as a “Best Buy” and gave the TV 4/5 for performance, 5/5 for design, 5/5 features and 5/5 overall. In the review he mentions that the TV has “exceptional picture quality and is a master at picking out fine detail in shadows.”
Both articles also mention how easy the TV is to set up – even for the technically challenged. A favourite feature is the ‘Picture Wizard’ which has a guide for brightness and contrast levels for the type of programme you are watching, and which lets you save different settings. The TV’s USB 2.0 media playing capability, 100 HZ processing, Bluetooth connectivity and eco modes are also highlighted, as well as its super duper thinness.
Rock on, these babies are selling for £999.00 at Currys, and it’s great to hear people saying that they are well worth the investment. Sounds like Life’s Good with the 42SL9000…
*Single Layer means that the screen goes right to the edge without a plastic bezel. There is an 8.5mm black line around the edge of the TV, but it is behind the screen.

LED TVs are still expensive but my dad bought me one last month.,`:
LED Tv’s are more expensive than traditional LCD TVs which are having some massive price drops.-~-
Led Tv’s are really beuatiful and really saves room spaces. dont worry morgan, LED TV will have a price drop to when they discover something better. LCD’s are also way expensive before LED TV came right? just wait for a few more months and its price will drop.

I shopped for this for my own Christmas gift so my husband didn’t have too much input but when it was up and working he was more than impressed. The picture is the best either one of has seen. There was just one problem. The TV had a square type sound cable that did not match up with typical three pronged cable on our Bose speakers. Now we are in the process of calling both companies to see what they would suggest. I would rate it a perfect 5 had it not been for the sound cable.

My friend bought this tv a while ago, he was quite happy with it. I believe he has bought a newer led tv from LG already though. Technology moves fast, but there was no need to buy another one just yet.
